Reclast Side Effects

The benefits of a Reclast infusion last for a year. Most common Reclast side effects don't. And if you've taken oral bisphosphonates, or have been treated with Reclast in the past, you're less likely to experience side effects.

The most common Reclast side effects include flu-like symptoms, fever, muscle or joint pain, headache, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Most occur within 1-3 days of treatment and typically subside within 14 days. After a first Reclast infusion, side effects are much less common.

An important thing to remember about Reclast is that it's given through an IV. This means it bypasses your digestive system so it's not associated with stomach irritation. That means you won't have to wait to eat, or remain upright for half an hour or more. And Reclast is an annual osteoporosis treatment. That means you have one treatment, once a year. Then you can get back to the things you enjoy, on your schedule.
